Scalp Vein Set

The scalp veins of infants and young children aged 0-3 years old are shallow and clear, and the blood vessels in the limbs are thin and difficult to fix, making them the preferred puncture site. Suitable for situations such as colds, fever, pneumonia, dehydration, etc. that require short-term infusion.

For children who are slightly older but have poor vascular conditions (such as obesity, repeated infusion leading to arteriosclerosis), or have no suitable puncture site in their limbs due to diseases (such as burns), scalp veins can be chosen.

A small number of adults may also receive short-term intravenous infusion or medication through scalp veins when their limb blood vessels cannot be used due to long-term bed rest, peripheral vascular failure (such as in elderly critically ill patients), or extensive burns.
