Before puncture, the puncture site must be spiral disinfected with disinfectant cotton pads (such as 75% alcohol) with a diameter of not less than 5cm. During the operation, the needle should avoid touching non sterile areas to prevent bacterial contamination of blood samples or blood vessels.

Vacuum containers of corresponding specifications (such as blood volume and whether they contain additives) must be selected according to the purpose of blood collection, and cannot be mixed, otherwise it may cause sample coagulation, hemolysis, or test result errors.

After use, the needle should be immediately placed in the sharp instrument box and should not be discarded at will; Some products with automatic protective covers need to activate the protective device according to the instructions to prevent medical staff from being stabbed by needles.

Before puncture, it is necessary to confirm whether the patient has contraindications such as coagulation dysfunction and vasculitis, in order to avoid continuous bleeding or vascular damage caused by negative pressure blood collection.
