With the continuous development of smart healthcare, various medical institutions in Chongqing are accelerating the exploration of new digital medical service models, extending and sinking high-quality medical services, and providing more convenient and efficient medical services for the public.
In order to alleviate the problem of difficulty in hospitalization, the 13th People's Hospital of Chongqing took the lead in piloting the "one bed for the whole hospital" reform, established a clinical support center, and implemented centralized management of all hospital beds. The overall bed utilization efficiency of the hospital has been significantly improved, while shortening the hospitalization time of patients and reducing the burden of medical treatment.
In Jiangjin District, Chongqing, more and more citizens are experiencing the new medical experience empowered by information technology. On October 15th, an elderly person was bedridden due to paralysis and developed a ruptured and infected hip, requiring urgent treatment. Family members immediately placed orders on the Internet platform of Jiangjin Hospital (Jiangjin District Central Hospital) affiliated to Chongqing University and made an appointment for home care, which solved the urgent problem for the elderly.
More data travels, fewer people run errands. In recent years, Chongqing University Affiliated Jiangjin Hospital has focused on the needs of patients for medical treatment and has made efforts from multiple points. In the admission process, it has built a "one-stop admission preparation center", allowing patients to enjoy many convenient services such as flexible appointment for hospitalization, reducing preoperative waiting, and optimizing examination appointments. The hospital has shortened the average admission time from 24 hours to 2 hours, improving medical efficiency. At the same time, we will optimize the entire medical process and provide convenient services such as "nurse station settlement", "one-stop handling of chronic and special diseases", and medical record copying and mailing.
The digital wave is reshaping traditional medical processes while also promoting the extension of medical resources to grassroots and remote areas. In 2023, the Remote Imaging Center of Fengjie County People's Hospital in Chongqing will launch the "Remote Appointment Examination". Relying on the county-level remote imaging diagnosis and treatment center data platform covering the entire county, patients from villages and communities in Fengjie County can make appointments for medical imaging examinations such as CT and MRI at their doorstep hospitals, while enjoying the charging and reimbursement standards of primary medical institutions. In 2023, this service will save more than 2 million yuan in medical expenses for grassroots patients.
The Public Service Bureau of Chongqing High tech Zone, relying on the construction of the Health Data Cloud Platform, took the lead in building regional HIS (Hospital Information Management System) cloud, regional PACS (Imaging) cloud, and regional LIS (Inspection) cloud systems in 2020, and established multiple service platforms such as remote diagnosis and public health. The district's township health centers and social service centers were included in the system to achieve information sharing of medical services, public health services, medical security, and comprehensive management systems. Digital medical services have enabled more and more grassroots people to enjoy the convenience brought by "smart healthcare".
