The plan sets clear phased work objectives and specifies quantitative assessment indicators. By 2027, the province will dynamically adjust the list of areas with iodine deficiency, suitable iodine, and high iodine sources based on the progress of water improvement work in areas with high iodine sources. Each county (city, district) will introduce a classified iodine supplementation plan that is suitable for the local area. By 2030, the province will continue to maintain the elimination of iodine deficiency disorders; The water improvement rate in areas with high iodine sources has reached over 90%, and the consumption rate of non iodized salt among residents in areas where water improvement has not been implemented exceeds 90%; The management rate and standardized management rate of endemic disease patients have remained stable at over 95%, ensuring that the iodine nutrition of residents in the province is maintained at an appropriate level in the long term.
Around the overall goal, the plan deploys six key work tasks. Implement precise prevention and control measures in different zones, implement differentiated salt supply policies for different water iodine areas, innovate and launch the "Three Stage Five Step" precise protection action for iodine nutrition during pregnancy, focus on women of childbearing age, pregnant women, breastfeeding women and children, and encourage areas with conditions to provide free iodized salt for key populations. Develop a comprehensive iodine nutrition monitoring network, conduct regular surveys on water iodine and population iodine nutrition, upgrade provincial monitoring information systems, establish data sharing channels among multiple departments, and dynamically adjust prevention and control strategies based on monitoring data.
Deepen the integration of medical and preventive services, open up the closed loop of diagnosis and treatment management in disease control, medical institutions, and grassroots health clinics, rely on the triple guarantee policy of medical insurance to reduce the burden of medical treatment on patients, and include people with disabilities caused by cretinism in the scope of disability service guarantee. Carry out science popularization through multiple channels, rely on the National Day for the Prevention and Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders and online science popularization platforms to carry out layered education, timely clarify various false rumors about iodine supplementation, and regularly conduct assessments of the public's awareness of prevention and control knowledge.
At the same time, our province will continue to strengthen the construction of the prevention and control talent team, establish a provincial-level rescue expert group, enhance laboratory testing capabilities, and build a disease sample resource library; Focusing on topics such as iodine nutrition evaluation and thyroid disease intervention, we will carry out scientific research and development, strengthen inter provincial exchanges and cooperation in the Yellow River Basin, and continuously enhance regional prevention and control capabilities.
