In March of this year, the Minhang police in Shanghai received a tip from a tertiary hospital in their jurisdiction, stating that the hospital's online registration mini program showed that a large number of expert accounts were fully booked, but the actual attendance rate was not high, and many account sources had no patients seeking medical treatment. At the same time, some patients have complained to the hospital that even if they stay on the registration page on time, the expert account will still be snatched up within a few seconds after the account is released, making registration much more difficult than normal operation.

According to the hospital, each account on the online mini program can be associated with 3 patients. After discovering the abnormal situation of a large number of appointment sources being left unattended, the hospital attempted to contact the patients through reserved phone numbers, but found that many numbers could not be reached. These 'occupying but not using' account sources result in a waste of medical resources.

After receiving the report, the police quickly started to analyze and judge the abnormal number source that had no one seeking medical treatment. The police found that a group of accounts were extremely active and frequently changed different patient information. According to statistics, these accounts have made over 3000 appointments for registration, but only received over 950 actual visits, with cancellation and expiration accounting for nearly 70%, which clearly does not conform to the normal medical treatment habits of patients.
