In the past two days, while enjoying the holiday, many local residents have also felt the scorching heat. The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange high-temperature warning on the 10th. It is expected that from the 10th to the 14th, the high temperature range in the northern region will gradually expand and last for a long time, with some areas reaching a maximum temperature of 39 ℃ to 42 ℃.
Monitoring shows that on the 9th, many areas in the north experienced high temperatures ranging from 35 ℃ to 39 ℃, with some areas in Hebei Province's Handan, Xingtai, Hengshui, and Xinjiang's Turpan experiencing temperatures ranging from 40 ℃ to 42 ℃.
According to Chen Tao, the chief forecaster of the Central Weather Bureau, the main cause of this round of high temperature weather is that the upper atmosphere in North China and the Huanghuai region is controlled by the northwest sinking airflow, and the sky is clear with few clouds. The sinking and warming radiation effects are significant. It is expected that the high temperature weather in North China and the Huanghuai region will continue, and the intensity may also increase.
Recently, many parts of the world have experienced high temperatures, which are highly extreme. Experts say that under the background of global warming, different regions are controlled by high-pressure systems of different properties, forming sustained high-temperature systems. For our country, the subtropical high pressure system in the Western Pacific and the continental high pressure system jointly have an impact on the high temperature weather in our country.
High temperatures are a frequent visitor in summer. In meteorology, high temperature refers to a weather phenomenon where the highest daily temperature reaches 35 ℃ or above, and the process of consecutive days of high temperature weather is called a heatwave.
On the 9th, the China Meteorological Administration launched a Level 4 emergency response to high temperatures, and the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration released the first national heat stroke meteorological forecast of this year.
Meteorological experts suggest that in the event of high temperatures, the public should take active and effective measures to prevent heatstroke and cool down, and pay attention to clothing, food, housing, and transportation.
In terms of clothing, it is advisable to choose clothes that are easy to absorb sweat, loose, and breathable. It is advisable to wear light colored clothes to reduce the absorption of solar radiation. The diet should be light, and you can drink a moderate amount of herbal tea, mung bean soup, etc. Do not overeat cold drinks. Pay attention to adapting to the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor when entering and exiting air-conditioned rooms, increase lunch breaks appropriately, and ensure sleep time.
In hot weather, it is recommended to minimize outdoor activities and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun; If you need to travel, take necessary protective measures, such as using a sunshade umbrella, applying sunscreen, etc., and bring sufficient water and heatstroke prevention medication; Pay attention to checking the condition of the car while driving.
If heatstroke occurs, the patient should be immediately evacuated from a high temperature and humidity environment for cooling and hydration. Experts remind that using a large amount of alcohol to take baths or pinch people is not feasible as it can worsen the condition if not handled properly. Once a heatstroke patient experiences symptoms such as confusion or coma, they should be promptly taken to a medical institution for treatment.
