According to a report by CCTV on the evening of November 29, in August 2024, police from the Food, Drug, and Environmental Crime Investigation Team of the Zhongmu County Public Security Bureau in Henan Province detected a strong milk aroma emanating from a remote warehouse on the outskirts of the city for several consecutive days during routine investigations, raising their suspicions.
After conducting surveillance, the police identified the location as a production site for counterfeit milk powder. Subsequently, they apprehended 12 suspects engaged in production activities at the site and seized a large quantity of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment used to manufacture substandard milk powder.
