On August 28th, the Shanxi Provincial Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice on the 18th issue of food safety supervision and sampling in 2025. In the recent 692 batches of sample inspections organized, 16 batches of unqualified food were found, involving agricultural and sideline products such as vegetables and flour sold by individual units, as well as residues of anionic synthetic detergents in tableware.

According to the notice, this sampling covers 23 categories of food, including catering food, edible agricultural products, and pastries. The inspection results show that 676 batches of samples are qualified, and 16 batches are unqualified. Unqualified items include excessive pesticide residues such as thiamethoxam in edible agricultural products, excessive aluminum residues in wide powder, and detection of anionic synthetic detergents in tableware.

It is understood that anionic synthetic detergents are the main components of detergents such as dishwashing detergent and laundry detergent that we use in our daily lives. The detection of this ingredient in tableware may be due to excessive use of detergent or incomplete rinsing.

At present, in response to the discovery of substandard food during food safety supervision and sampling, the Shanxi Provincial Administration for Market Regulation has requested local market supervision departments to verify and dispose of them in accordance with the law, effectively ensuring the safety of the people's "tongue".
