Strengthen top-level planning and improve the investment mechanism for basic research in biomedicine. Increase financial investment in basic research in biomedicine, and make forward-looking layouts and resource allocation in the fields of neuroscience, human microbiome, immunotherapy, gene editing, synthetic biology, stem cells, and regenerative medicine. Strive to achieve the goal of investing over 8% of basic research funds in the field of biomedicine during the 14th Five Year Plan period.
