Pulse oximeter is a small medical device used for non-invasive measurement of peripheral blood oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and other indicators in the human body. It utilizes the different absorption rates of red and infrared light by oxygenated hemoglobin and reduced hemoglobin. The detector of the oximeter emits a light source, which changes the light absorption value after passing through the skin and blood. The data is then processed by a microcomputer to obtain the blood oxygen saturation value.
