One is to provide disease prevention and control services around public health and safety. Give full play to the platform role of grassroots public health committees, such as establishing a collaborative mechanism among the government, hospitals, and enterprises, jointly carrying out livelihood projects such as disease screening and chronic disease prevention and control, and deeply promoting schools, enterprises, and institutions in the jurisdiction to do a good job in the prevention and control of infectious diseases such as norovirus infection, further building a multi-party disease prevention and control system.
The second is to provide convenient services around residents' health. Adhere closely to the needs of residents and promote the implementation and refinement of basic public health service projects. In 2023, the Guangzhou Grassroots Public Health Commission adopted the model of "Party building+grid+public health", mobilizing and organizing elderly people over 65 years old to receive free 23 valent pneumonia vaccine, benefiting more than 270000 residents. Some districts have also organized and mobilized high-risk populations for colorectal cancer to undergo genetic testing screening, and continuously tracked and managed the results, promoting more than 70% of positive initial screening populations to undergo colonoscopy according to medical advice, an increase of 49% compared to previous years.
In addition, we will guide and encourage all sectors of society to participate in the governance of the Public Health Commission, providing residents with doorstep services such as home visits, medication, medical treatment, and health care. To coordinate universities, hospitals, grassroots institutions, etc., establish a health science popularization alliance, and provide residents with multidimensional health services such as health monitoring and traditional Chinese medicine massage care. Some areas are promoting regional cooperation, organizing medical pairing and joint medical consultation activities, providing residents with free examination services such as expert consultations and chest X-rays, allowing residents to enjoy professional services from tertiary hospitals right at their doorstep.
