The National Food Safety Insider Reporting System developed by the State Administration for Market Regulation has recently been officially launched and put into operation. The system focuses on activating the "internal whistleblower" mechanism of food production and operation units, facilitating channels for practitioners and related personnel to report food safety violations, and forming linkage with the "National 12315 Platform" to promote the construction of a "public participation and full supervision" food safety social governance pattern.
The system supports a dual track reporting mode of real name and anonymous reporting, strictly protecting insider information through technical means, and implementing a closed-loop management mechanism of "nationwide unified reception, coding, and distribution". Whistleblowers can track the progress of processing in real time. The State Administration for Market Regulation will regularly analyze national lead data to promote rapid response and targeted governance by regulatory departments.
At present, the public can log in to the system through the official websites of the State Administration for Market Regulation and local market supervision departments. For verified and effective reports, regulatory authorities will reward them according to regulations.
