On December 19th, the fifth batch of high-value medical consumables centralized procurement organized by the state (hereinafter referred to as "centralized procurement") was selected and included in two categories of products: cochlear implants and peripheral vascular stents, after bidding in Tianjin. The total demand for cochlear implant consumables in this centralized procurement is 11000 sets, and 5 companies have been selected, including foreign-funded enterprises such as Austria's Medil Medical, the United States' leading bionic, Australia's Kolear, as well as domestic enterprises such as Shanghai Lisheng Te and Zhejiang Norkang. There is a total demand of 258000 peripheral vascular stent consumables, and 18 companies have been selected, including globally renowned foreign-funded enterprises such as Kangti Si, Ke Hui, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Germany's Borui, as well as domestic enterprises such as Shanghai Meichuang Medical and Guichuang Tongqiao. The product supply is rich and diverse. Foreign funded enterprises have a high level of participation, and in all four groups (cochlear implant and three peripheral vascular stent groups), the top foreign-funded enterprises were selected as the first place.
Cochlear implants are the most effective medical consumables for solving severe sensorineural hearing loss. Compared with hearing aids that mainly amplify sound signals, they can reconstruct sensory organs and allow patients to regain new "sound". Especially for children with congenital sensorineural hearing loss, implantation of cochlear implants can effectively solve the problem of deafness induced deafness, which is of great significance for the child to restore normal life, integrate into society, and reduce the burden on family and society. The price of a single set of cochlear implant consumables (including implants and speech processors) for this centralized procurement has decreased from an average of over 200000 yuan to around 50000 yuan. In addition to commonly used clinical products, a new generation of cochlear implants capable of supporting high field (3.0T) magnetic resonance imaging were selected for this centralized procurement, and the implanted patients can undergo high field magnetic resonance imaging examination; A more convenient all-in-one speech processor (external unit) is selected to meet the different application needs of patients.
